Fraudsters are using a new fraudulent scheme to deceive Russians.

They call under the guise of telecom operators offering discounted mobile tariffs.

The catch is to convince subscribers to transfer money supposedly to guarantee connection, RIA Novosti writes, citing the Beeline company.

Fraudsters call subscribers, posing as employees of a telecom operator.

Details of advantageous mobile tariffs with discounts are proposed to be discussed in the Telegram channel.

There, during the dialogue, the potential victim is forced to pay a supposedly advantageous tariff for several months in advance.

After transferring money, the discounted tariff is not connected, and the chat with employees is deleted.

Beeline recommends that customers be vigilant to avoid being deceived by unknown parties.

If you receive calls offering to connect to a new tariff, the information should be checked on the official website of the telecom operator.

The company also recommends not to provide personal information or transfer money to unfamiliar accounts.
