Fortunes Grow: How Rich Have Russian Billionaires Become Since the Beginning of the Year
Information has emerged on how the fortunes of Russian billionaires have changed since the beginning of 2024.
Wealthy Russian citizens earned more than $30.2 billion.
This study was shared by the RIA Novosti agency, whose specialists analyzed data from the Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI) rating.
It is noted that the above-mentioned rating is formed from the five hundred richest people in the world, 25 of whom are citizens of the Russian Federation.
The index itself is calculated based on information about what shares wealthy citizens own (shares of various events owned by businessmen).
Since the beginning of the current year alone, the former beneficiary of the companies EuroChem and SUEK, Andrey Melnichenko, has become 6.22 billion richer. His fortune is now estimated at 25 billion dollars.
The second line of the rating is held by the beneficiary of NLMK Vladimir Lisin, who earned 4.27 billion, and the third line is held by the co-owner of Lukoil Vagit Alekperov with 2.83 billion dollars.
One of the founders of Norilsk Nickel, Vladimir Potanin, did not give up the palm and is the richest Russian businessman, with $28.2 billion. It is noted that the richest Russian increased his fortune by $1.57 billion.
