Gazprombank and six of its subsidiaries have been subject to new US sanctions.
Such a decision on the part of Washington will inevitably impact several dozen European countries.
Experts interviewed by RIA Novosti journalists hold a similar opinion.
Experts recalled that Turkey, Greece, Slovakia, Hungary and Serbia buy Russian gas. And it is the last three countries that are most vulnerable to restrictive measures due to the fact that they do not have access to the sea.
The sanctions imposed on Gazprombank entail a reconfiguration of the entire payment system, which may not affect only China.
It is noted that the Hungarian Foreign Ministry does not intend to interrupt gas purchases due to sanctions, but did not specify how exactly the payment for energy resources will be made.
For reference
