Senator Olga Epifanova noted that in the case of complicated childbirth, the benefit amount will increase to more than 885 thousand rubles.
The state will pay a woman expecting multiple pregnancies more than 1 million 100 thousand rubles, RIA Novosti writes.
In addition, women are entitled to maternity leave.
In Russia, its duration ranges from 140 to 194 days.
Epifanova explained that the maximum amount is calculated taking into account the maximum amount of the base for calculating insurance premiums.
In order to receive benefits, Russian women need to obtain a certificate of incapacity for work and maternity leave.
