Economist tells what benefits working pensioners are entitled to in 2025
The economist listed the benefits that are available to working pensioners.
A comment on this topic was shared by the former consultant and methodologist of the Ministry of Finance on financial literacy, Sergei Kikevich.
In a conversation with the URA.RU portal, he reminded working pensioners about the benefits that will be available to them in 2025.
According to the economist, starting from February 1, pensions are planned to be indexed taking into account the consumer price growth index for 2024.
The second increase in pensions (from April 1) is expected based on the growth of revenues in the budget of the Social Fund of Russia.
The basis for indexation will be the amount of payments that could have been received taking into account all missed increases over the years of work.
The economist stressed that the indexation amount will be calculated based on the cost of the pension point.
The government will determine the indexation coefficient for next year by the end of this year.
Kikevich noted that now the trick of quitting and returning to work to increase your pension will no longer work.
This trick is losing its relevance, since payments are now indexed automatically.
If a pensioner decides to quit, he can do so without having to work for two weeks.
But this is possible if we are talking about the first dismissal due to retirement.
In addition, pensioners are entitled to an increase in the number of unpaid vacation days. The maximum number is 60 days.
If a pensioner has a disability group I or II, or is caring for a disabled family member, then he is given the opportunity to work a shorter work week or choose a shorter work day.
