An economist explained which method of increasing income is less effective.

Candidate of Economic Sciences Nikolai Kulbaka shared a comment on this topic.

In a conversation with Lenta.ru , the expert stated that short-term deposits are not as good as they seem at first glance.

They will not bring any tangible benefit. He gave a simple calculation. For example, a depositor places 100 thousand rubles for 3 months at approximately 20% per annum.

In 90 days, only 3 thousand rubles or so will be added to its amount.

The economist noted that it is, of course, possible to place funds in short-term deposits, but the shorter the term, the more modest the bank interest rate.

Kulbaka explained that money multiplies more effectively over a long distance.

There are a number of tools for this, including the same bank deposits. For example, for a year or a year and a half.

If you plan to save for several years, you can buy dollars or euros, the economist suggested as an alternative option.
