Deputy Sergei Gavrilov spoke about the nuances of selling real estate that has undergone redevelopment.
The head of the State Duma Committee on Property, Land and Property Relations recalled that some changes have come into force in Russia.
The new rules will affect those who made redevelopment after April 1, 2024, NEWS.ru reports.
Now any changes to the boundaries and area of premises are considered redevelopment.
Moreover, it can only be carried out with permission from municipal authorities.
Gavrilov noted that the buyer will not see the actual position of the walls in the USRN extract if the apartment had previously undergone illegal redevelopment.
If a person has purchased an apartment in which illegal redevelopment had previously been carried out, then if a violation is discovered, he may be required to restore the property to its original condition at his own expense.
Therefore, before selling, the owner must legalize the redevelopment, Gavrilov emphasized.
Earlier, the economist explained whether it makes sense for Russians to buy an apartment with a mortgage in the summer of 2024.
