Chicken eggs to become even more expensive soon? Experts comment
In Russia, there is talk again about the possibility of a sharp rise in the price of chicken eggs.
The situation was assessed by the General Director of the National Union of Poultry Farmers Sergei Lakhtyukhov and the head of the Russian Poultry Union Galina Bobyleva.
Lakhtyukhov noted that the cost of production continues to grow, but enterprises are doing everything to minimize the impact of this process on the final cost, TASS reports.
According to him, the National Union of Poultry Farmers does not see any preconditions for a sharp increase in egg prices.
The situation on the market is stable, Lakhtyukhov emphasized. He pointed out that this product has a pronounced seasonality. Currently, price fluctuations are within the typical range.
Bobyleva added that producer prices today are more than 20% lower than at the beginning of 2024.
She believes that conditions are now emerging that will allow producers to continue to effectively saturate the market and maintain stable prices.
At the same time, on October 31, information appeared in the media that a new wave of price increases for eggs was coming in Russia.
In the near future, prices could allegedly skyrocket by at least 10% due to the rise in the cost of poultry feed.
