It has become known which prohibited additive is increasingly being found in meat products in Russia.

We are talking about the so-called meat glue, which is used to quickly increase the volume of products.

Izvestia reports on alarming statistics, citing warnings from Rosselkhoznadzor and Rospotrebnadzor in its warning.

It is noted that in 2023 alone, 23 cases of the use of microbial transglutaminase (meat glue) in products were identified. And this is twice as many as were identified the year before.

At the same time, this additive is not officially included in the list of permitted ones. Consequently, it is used in production by those manufacturers who want to increase the weight of finished products by up to 25% due to meat glue.
