It has become known which product may soon appear on the shelves of Russian stores.
We are talking about llama meat, which is imported by Bolivia.
On the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum, RIA Novosti interviewed the commercial attaché of the Bolivian embassy in Moscow, Victor Nelson Aramayo Rodriguez.
According to the Bolivian representative, llama meat may be of interest to Russians, but we are not talking about the mass consumer.
Exotic meat products can be purchased by gourmets, since exotic products are a niche product.
Rodriguez noted that llama meat has not yet received phytosanitary approval, which Bolivia requested.
However, once this permission is received, representatives of the state breeding llamas will begin to look for buyers interested in importing exotic meat.
As the commercial attaché noted, the main issues that will be on the agenda will be the volume and frequency of cargo deliveries. This is necessary to ensure demand.
