ATOR warned Russians what dollars to take to Turkey

Russian tourists who are planning a holiday in Turkey are advised to buy new-style dollars.

The emergence of counterfeit $50 and $100 bills poses risks to travelers.

The Association of Turkish Banks has warned about counterfeit old-style dollars, Artur Muradyan, vice president of ATOR for international tourism and CEO of tour operator Space Travel, told RBC .

He explained that in response, exchange offices in Turkey, in order to protect themselves from counterfeiting, stopped accepting old banknotes.

In this regard, tourists should take care of their currency in advance and avoid old dollars.
