According to Fatima Dzgoev, Associate Professor of the Department of Public Law at the Faculty of Law at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, the termination of pension payments is possible in accordance with the established procedure.
This may happen in the event of the death or recognition of the deceased pensioner. Also, pensions will cease to be paid if he is recognized as missing.
Dzgoeva added that this procedure also applies after six months from the date of suspension of payment of the insurance pension.
Such cases include the loss of the right to an assigned pension and the cancellation of the pensioner’s residence permit.
