You won't have to give up your favorite sauce: a recipe for healthy homemade mayonnaise

Many people have heard about the harm of mayonnaise, however, sometimes you really want to eat a salad or a piece of meat with your favorite sauce.

There is no need to deny yourself, especially if you make the sauce yourself.

Culinary expert of HERE NEWS, cook and fourth-class baker Yulia Arkhipova will share with you a recipe for homemade mayonnaise, which is not as fatty and harmful as store-bought.

How to Make Homemade Mayonnaise

To prepare the sauce at home you will need:

  • 1 teaspoon mustard;
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice;
  • 1 egg;
  • 150 milliliters of refined sunflower oil;
  • warm boiled water about 60 milliliters;
  • salt and sugar to taste.

Mix mustard, a pinch of salt and sugar in a deep bowl and mix thoroughly.

Add a raw egg to the resulting mixture, stir again, then start pouring in the oil, continuously whisking the mixture. For a faster and better result, it is recommended to do this with a blender.

Add lemon juice, stir, and finally pour in warm water. It is the water that will make the finished product lighter and less harmful.
