It would seem that there is nothing complicated about boiling eggs.

However, actually cooking them so that you can peel them without throwing half the protein in the trash is quite a feat.

Culinary expert of HERE NEWS, cook and fourth-class baker Yulia Arkhipova is ready to share her culinary tricks with you.

It's not about salt

You've probably come across advice to add salt to the water when boiling eggs so that they're easy to peel.

However, this is not the point. The main mistake that everyone makes without exception is boiling eggs in cold water.

What you actually need to do is boil the water over high heat and add the eggs one at a time to the boiling water.

After boiling them on high heat for 1-2 minutes, reduce the heat and cook them until done. For hard-boiled eggs, the cooking time should not exceed 11 minutes, for soft-boiled eggs - 7.

But that's not all. After the eggs are boiled, they need to be dipped in ice water and kept there for at least 15-20 minutes. Then you will peel them without any problems.
