There is an objective reason why bread goes moldy before its time.
Mold, being a living organism, grows under favorable conditions.
It will not appear on the crackers due to the lack of moisture.
The rate of mold growth depends on the conditions under which it will develop.
According to the norm, fresh bread under normal conditions should be stored for 3-4 days, sourdough bread – longer.
If the bread has become moldy before the expiration date, it means that the conditions of cooling, storage and transportation at the production facility were violated.
If bread at home quickly becomes moldy, it is too moist. This means that it was not cooled, stored or transported correctly.
To ensure proper storage conditions for bread, keep it in a bread bin or wrap it in linen cloth.
Allow damp bread from the package to dry in the open air for a couple of hours.
During this time, excess moisture will disappear and the conditions for mold growth will become worse.
