As people age, it is extremely important to watch what they eat.
There are three types of diets that are worth considering when planning a diet for older people.

The Mediterranean diet holds the palm for balance and gentle regimen.
It is based on an abundance of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, seeds, nuts and legumes, as well as fish. Olive oil is used as a seasoning for dishes.
All of the listed products are rich in vitamins and are good for the heart and prevent Alzheimer's disease.
The second most useful is called the DASH diet. It is not much different from the Mediterranean diet, only it is a stricter version.
The principle of this diet is that: fried, salted, smoked, fatty and canned foods, as well as salt, are completely excluded. It is distinguished by the fractional nature of nutrition: meals are divided into 5 times, but snacks should contain only fruits, nuts or low-fat dairy products.
The flexitarian diet is characterized by the almost complete exclusion of animal products from the diet. Lean meat is allowed only from time to time, with an emphasis on whole grains, vegetables, fruits and dry legumes.
