Night snack: what to eat to avoid harming your figure

Are you ready to go to bed, but your stomach has started to rumble and clench, hinting that it would be nice to fill it with something before going to bed?

Millions of people face similar situations.

And if about half of them are ready to eat something high-calorie, fatty and not good for their figure at night, the other half still tries to choose the right and healthy products for their nighttime gluttony.

So, what can you still indulge in at night, but with an eye on healthy eating?

The first product that meets these requirements is sauerkraut.

A small portion of this vegetable, drizzled with oil and eaten with a piece of whole grain bread, will give you the necessary feeling of satiety and can further improve digestion.

After all, sauerkraut has a very good effect on the gastrointestinal microflora, increasing the number of beneficial bacteria. And grains from bread contain useful fiber and slowly digestible carbohydrates.

Product number two is protein, which is very popular among athletes.

Doctors also speak well of it, since this protein, obtained from whey, is very well absorbed by the body.

To calm a rebellious stomach and sleep through the night feeling full, sprinkle some dry powder into a glass filled with plant milk, stir well and drink the mixture.

Adding protein to a vegetable smoothie, if you decide to provide yourself with a snack of this product, is also possible and necessary.

The third product also belongs to the protein category. This is low-fat boiled chicken or turkey breast. If you can't sleep because of a slight feeling of hunger, it is the meat of lean poultry that can quickly eliminate this feeling.

Product, or rather dish number four - salad with olive oil, sprinkled with sesame seeds. What can you quickly make this salad from at night? Iceberg lettuce, arugula, simple green salad, Chinese cabbage.

If such a salad seems not refreshing enough and bland to the taste, add some fresh cucumber to the greens. Having eaten a small cup of such a mix at night, you will easily forgive the whole night and in the morning this night snack will not affect the number that the scales will show.

And the last type of product that is quite acceptable to consume at night is the protein of a boiled egg.

It is the white, because the yolk still contains fat, and nutritionists say that it is not advisable to consume animal fats late at night. Therefore, boil one or two eggs, take out the yolks and leave them for breakfast. And eat the whites without worrying about your weight.

The only exception to this late-night snack is if you have an egg allergy. If you like, you can add finely chopped egg whites to the green salad described above.

Of course, this is far from a complete list of foods that are acceptable for consumption at night.

But if you are on a diet and are committed to a healthy, balanced and nutritious diet, then the foods listed here will be the best choice.
