How to properly place bay leaves

Many housewives, when preparing dishes, simply throw in a bay leaf a couple of minutes before turning off the dish.

In fact, the correct way to add the ingredient is as follows:

  • Wash the leaves thoroughly and then scald them to remove dirt and improve the aroma;
  • add the seasoning to the soup or other dish 10-15 minutes before it is ready: this is exactly the time the bay leaf needs to reveal its full aroma and flavor;
  • Remove the seasoning after turning off the pan or leave it in the finished dish.

There is no clear answer regarding the last point, since everyone decides for themselves what tastes better.
