Sometimes after boiling, chicken eggs can be quite difficult to peel.
But if you follow some rules for their preparation, you can avoid this problem.
Chef and culinary expert Yulia Arkhipova explained what kind of water is best for placing eggs.
Eggs can be boiled in both cold and hot water. However, certain nuances should be taken into account.
If the eggs have been in the refrigerator, it is better to pour cold water over them.
If they are at room temperature, you can pour hot water over them.
However, experienced housewives still prefer hot water. After all, then the shell will be easier to separate after boiling.
It is only important that the eggs are at room temperature. Otherwise, when immersed in boiling water, they may crack.
The temperature of the water also affects the cooking time of the eggs.
So, when immersed in cold water, soft-boiled eggs should be cooked for about two or three minutes after boiling.
Hard-boiled eggs should be cooked for seven to ten minutes after the water comes to a boil.
When using hot water, soft-boiled eggs should be boiled for about a minute. Then remove them from the heat, cover with a lid and leave for five minutes.
Hard-boiled eggs can be boiled for about four or five minutes over moderate heat.
