Potato pancakes, better known as draniki, are traditionally prepared over a long period of time and require a lot of energy.
The most difficult stage of preparation is shredding the potatoes using a grater.
Culinary expert and chef Yulia Arkhipova told us how to make this process easier and make potato pancakes much easier.
As the expert explained, you won’t need eggs, a grater, or even flour.
To begin, arm yourself with 1 kilogram of potatoes and 1-2 teaspoons of salt. Take 1 onion.
Cut the potatoes and onions into cubes, then throw the vegetables into a blender. Add salt to the resulting mass.
This way, in no time you will have potato dough, which you will then lay out in pancakes on a frying pan.
Important note: adding onion will prevent the grated potatoes from turning dark, and will also give the dish a piquant and bright taste.
