For many, the Black Sea coast is probably associated with crispy baklava, which can be bought right on the beach.
And if you want to extend the summer after returning from vacation, you can prepare this dish at home.
Culinary expert of HERE NEWS, cook and fourth-class baker Yulia Arkhipova is ready to share with you an elementary recipe that even a novice cook can handle.
For the dough you will need 3.5 cups of flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, 3 tablespoons of sour cream, 60 grams of butter and 250 milliliters of milk.
The syrup is prepared using 1 cup of sugar, 1 teaspoon of honey and 1 cup of water.
Knead the dough, divide into four parts, roll each one out as thinly as possible.
Roll it into a flat roll (its width should be at least 4-5 centimeters) and cut at an acute angle.
Heat a large amount of vegetable oil in a deep frying pan, fry the baklava until golden brown. Drain on paper towels to get rid of excess fat.
Dissolve sugar in water, bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Then add honey to the solution, reduce heat and begin to dip the baklava into the boiling syrup.
It is necessary to soak it with boiling syrup because the cold mixture settles on the delicacy in too large quantities, and therefore there is a risk of making the baklava too cloying.
