Doctor names dangerous foods for dinner that threaten bloating and swelling

Gastroenterologist Dmitry Fedolov from the Paracelsus Medical Center urged people to avoid legumes and starchy vegetables for dinner.

Gas-forming vegetables cause bloating and stomach pain, while starchy vegetables increase glucose levels.

“At night, do not eat potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, sweet grapes and pears,” Fedolov said in an interview with Gazeta.Ru .

The doctor also urged people to limit large amounts of sugar before bed.

It is worth noting that whole milk is poorly digested by the body, leading to bloating, pain and colic.

Fedolov suggests replacing it with kefir, fermented baked milk or low-fat yogurt.

He noted that in the evening, when your appetite is on the rise, you can eat protein foods, some vegetables and fruits.

The doctor advised having dinner 2-3 hours before bed so that the body could rest.

It is best if the main amount of calories is consumed in the morning and during the day.
