Cooking the snack pie "Old New Year": an original recipe for gourmets

Unfortunately, and for some it may be fortunate, but the New Year and Christmas holidays have come to an end.

It remains to celebrate the old New Year and the festive marathon will stop for a long time.

For us, this festive period is associated with lavish feasts and original dishes that we rarely indulge ourselves with on ordinary days.

Let's look at a simple recipe for a delicious, high-calorie Christmas pie.

- chicken fillet – 800 grams

- puff pastry – 300 grams

- chicken egg – 4 pieces

- onions – 3 pieces

- dill and parsley - 1 bunch each

- salt

- ground black pepper

- vegetable oil.

Preparation

Three eggs should be boiled, and one left raw. The white will be used to make mince, and the yolk will be used to grease the pie dough.

Then grind the chicken fillet in a meat grinder. Fry all the vegetables in a frying pan and also grind them in a meat grinder and add to the fillet.

Finely chop the herbs, add them and spices to the minced meat and mix thoroughly.

Line a baking pan with baking paper, grease it with vegetable oil and place a glass cup in the center.

Place the dough into the pan so that a ring forms around the glass.

Now we cut the puff pastry into strips and pull them over the top of the ring, creating a kind of mesh.

Brush the top of the pie with yolk and bake in an oven preheated to 190 degrees. Usually, it takes no more than 50 minutes to bake.

The chicken juice that has accumulated in the center can be poured over the entire surface of the pie and the dish can be served.
