There are many myths and controversies surrounding egg yolk, but people can be divided into two camps.
Some argue that the yolk is dangerous and consumption should be limited, while others say that it should be eaten more often.
Scientists have come to the conclusion that it is necessary to eat yolks, but in limited quantities.
1. The yolk contains a huge amount of saturated fat, about 2 grams in one egg. Naturally, saturated fats are harmful to humans, as they cause risks of gaining excess weight or developing heart and vascular diseases.
2. The yolk contains cholesterol, several times more than the same piece of beef. One yolk contains about 300 mg of cholesterol, while the same amount of meat contains only 20-30 mg.
For many years, doctors argued about whether it was possible to eat chicken eggs every day and how it could harm the body. And yet, it was decided that it was necessary to eat the yolks.
1. Saturated fats in small amounts are perfectly acceptable, but in the modern world there is a lot of them. It is better to eat eggs with yolks than to consume fast food, which is rich in saturated fats and even more harmful trans fats.
2. Cholesterol in food is little related to cholesterol in the blood. It turns out that cholesterol in food is necessary for humans, especially men. It is difficult to imagine the normal functioning of the body without it.
If cholesterol in food is minimal, the liver begins to produce it on its own. Therefore, modern doctors are sure that people with cardiovascular diseases, and especially healthy ones, should not limit themselves too much in the consumption of chicken eggs.
3. Yolks have a beneficial effect on the brain. The main feature of the yolk is the presence of a rare vitamin B4 (choline). This vitamin allows the transmission of nerve impulses to be activated as intended by nature. In America, doctors prescribe the consumption of eggs rather than any medications for choline deficiency.
4. Egg yolk is nutritious, it helps to saturate the body and not feel hungry, which means it will have the best effect on weight control. True, there is little research in this area, but the fact of satiety from chicken eggs is obvious.
5. Chicken yolk contains many microelements and vitamins. The yolk contains all the vitamins a person needs, only ascorbic acid is missing. It also contains zinc, calcium, iron, selenium and phosphorus with useful fatty acids.
A healthy person, without serious liver and heart diseases, can eat 2-3 yolks daily. This is the amount with which the study was conducted for several years. Of course, there are those who consume eggs in much larger quantities, but most likely, each organism is individual.
In any case, it is not advisable to immediately increase the consumption of chicken eggs; first, you need to consult a therapist. After all, yolks can have a negative effect on the digestion process, and this in turn will lead to unpleasant consequences.
Earlier we talked about a method for cooking liver that will make it soft and not rubbery.
