The banana diet is one of those strange diets, as it seems at first glance, but if you are like a monkey and really love bananas, then it will definitely suit you!

It would seem that everything is extremely simple: buy yourself a bunch of bananas (as if you were going to Africa to feed monkeys) and sit all day, eating only them.

No, nutritionists offer several types, so to speak, to have a decent assortment. Eating bananas, you can lose weight in 3, 5 and 7 days.

Sometimes it happens that dairy products are added to bananas: kefir, cottage cheese, milk itself, thanks to which it becomes much easier for those losing weight, and in some cases even tastier.

However, as with any other diet, there are certain restrictions. You will have to temporarily forget about alcohol, fried, canned foods and sweets. Drinking black tea, coffee, sweet carbonated drinks, nightshades (eggplant, tomatoes, potatoes) is prohibited.

Probably the most important reason is that bananas are very tasty. Perhaps this dish is for an amateur, but when it comes to comparisons with celery, the choice becomes too obvious. In addition, mono-diets (during which we eat the same product day after day) are considered to be almost the most effective of all that has been invented at the moment.

Besides this, they have other advantages:
• Bananas are rich in a wide variety of minerals and vitamins;
• Due to the fact that these fruits contain a lot of glucose and sucrose, they saturate the body well without leaving behind a feeling of hunger;
• Minerals help improve the quality of hair, skin and nails;
• High calorie content allows you to stay full and dulls your hunger;
• Bananas contain virtually no fat;
• Due to the abundant amount of potassium, bananas normalize heart function and even support it;
• Bananas cleanse the body well, removing harmful substances and cholesterol;
• Even if you plan your diet for just a week, you can expect that you will be able to lose, by the way, 7 kilograms;
• When you come off the diet, bananas help the body to normalize metabolism without losing any gains.

However, not everything is so rosy: one must also remember the shortcomings.

What's wrong with the banana diet

As we have already written above, bananas are high in calories. Therefore, it happens that when comparing the results of the banana diet with others, you may be disappointed: the percentage of kilogram loss is slightly less. However, for some, this is a big plus, because not everyone wants to lose weight radically.

Some also think that it is quite difficult to get out of this diet, as well as any other mono-diet. If you suddenly start eating other foods, then there is a high probability that all the lost kilograms will return, and will also leave you with a caustic grin. Therefore, you need to be careful, and it will be even better if you work everything out with a nutritionist.

And, of course, we need to be honest: bananas can easily become boring if you eat them for a long time. Of course, no one is forcing you to eat bananas after that, but it is not very pleasant to feel disgusted by the product.

So, regardless of whether you decide to try this diet or choose another one – good luck to you! Love yourself, love your body and don’t torture your stomach. This is the best advice that can be given in such a situation.
