There are two ways to save an extremely tough dish.
The first of them will allow you to do without heat treatment and get a delicious spread, ideal for breakfast.
Grind the lard in a meat grinder, put it into containers and store in the refrigerator. Ideal for sandwiches!
The second method of reviving a prepared dish involves heat treatment.
Take one and a half tablespoons of salt, a few black and allspice peas, a bay leaf and a few cloves of garlic. Add all the ingredients to a saucepan, pour in one liter of water and bring to a boil.
After this, place a piece of lard in the water and boil it for 10 minutes.
Turn off the heat and leave the lard in the brine until it cools down. After such manipulations, even the toughest lard will melt in your mouth.
