If you need a TV, let it be a plasma TV mounted on the wall. No massive vases or wide frames on the pictures. Everything should be light and weightless. Mirrors will also help to expand the space.
Fifthly, lighting should be selected taking into account the arrangement of furniture. There should not be too many lamps, but semi-darkness due to windows covered by furniture is also not welcome.
