- untreated walls are surfaces covered with cement-lime or cement plaster. They have an unusual structure and amazing color. Untreated gray walls fit perfectly into the loft style.
If you don't like the raw walls, you can always paint them white.
White will decorate the room wonderfully, making you feel that the space is much larger than it actually is. In addition, it reflects light, which makes the room very bright. You will appreciate this especially in winter.
Bedroom furniture in loft style
Looking for furniture that will suit a loft-style bedroom? Choose simplicity and coziness.
This style will suit:
- a bed with a high soft headboard - it should be of a uniform color, for example, white or black. This piece of furniture will go well with brick and wooden accessories. The pleasant to the touch material will warm the space and make it cozier. As a result, the bed will break the strict character of the loft interior, and rest in this place will become a real pleasure;
- simple bedside tables with a black metal structure - have a "light" design. The metal belongs to factory configurations, due to which such furniture fits perfectly into the atmosphere of the loft style, and the whole composition goes well with each other;
- there shouldn't be too much visible furniture. If you don't have a sliding wardrobe, choose a built-in wardrobe. It will blend into the background and won't be noticeable. You can also choose a model with a simple design on legs. Such a wardrobe looks "light", so it won't overload the space.
Lighting in a loft style bedroom
In a room intended for night rest, it is not enough to install one lamp in the middle of the ceiling. The overhead light illuminates the entire space, but does not create the necessary atmosphere for rest.
Therefore, lighting in a loft-style bedroom should also include:
- night lights – models with a metal, black structure and a large bulb will look great. They will serve as an additional source of light, which will be useful, for example, when reading in bed;
- a lamp standing in the corner of the room - choose a model with a large factory-made lampshade. It will beautifully diversify the decor and allow you to create a romantic atmosphere in the room without illuminating the entire interior.
If you want to add a touch of modernity to the interior, you can also install LED strips, for example, under the bed or behind the cornice. They will provide a subtle light that will not harm the eyes, but will allow, for example, to safely get to the bathroom at night.
What decorations are suitable for a loft-style bedroom
In a loft-style bedroom there shouldn’t be too many decorations, so as not to overload the interior.
The following are suitable for the loft style:
- flowers in rattan or wicker baskets – plants will be an excellent choice for the bedroom;
- simple candlesticks with long white candles are ideal not only as decoration, but also as an additional source of light in the evenings. They will create a romantic mood, thanks to which the evening will certainly pass in a pleasant atmosphere;
- metal baskets for small items – have a raw design, so they fit perfectly into the loft style. At the same time, they are very practical, so they certainly will not fill the composition excessively;
- simple posters and graphics – it’s worth hanging interesting large-format paintings on the walls.
They will not only break the whole atmosphere, but also “tell” a little about the inhabitants of the house.
Glass vases, light photo frames or metal sculptures will look good in the bedroom.
The choice of decorations for the loft style interior is very wide. However, remember about moderation. Do not let too many things clutter the space. It will not look very good.

Although loft and industrial styles are similar, there are many differences between them. The first way of arranging the interior is much more cozy. You will find many colors and accessories that warm up the space.
In turn, the industrial style bedroom has a cool, damp atmosphere. There is no place even for flower pots and decorative paintings. Everything is done in a very “factory” style.
Decorating a loft-style bedroom requires careful selection of furniture and accessories. However, it is worth spending some time on it. The effect may exceed your expectations.
