Visually enlarging a room starts with the ceiling. And the best option for installation in a small kitchen is a mirror or glossy stretch ceiling.
Storage space
When meters in the kitchen are worth their weight in gold, it's time to unload it. To do this, you need to clear the floor as much as possible.
Storage should be organized in hanging kitchen cabinets, and you should also avoid cluttering visible surfaces with dishes as much as possible.
If you can’t fit everything in, it’s recommended to consider additional drawers and organizers with suction cups or magnets.
Built-in appliances
Freestanding refrigerators, microwaves, dishwashers are definitely not an option for a Khrushchev-era apartment. It is worth immediately providing special niches for installing built-in versions of all the above-mentioned devices.
Light
A small kitchen should always have enough light. For this purpose, it is recommended:
- install several spotlights;
- arrange additional lighting for the work area;
- think through several lines of light.
