No matter how long your cat has lived with you, the animal will always find something to surprise you with.

For example, many owners of furry pets wonder why a cat can scratch and bite.

Let's figure out whether this is an act of aggression on the part of the pet or is just a game.

Why does a cat bite?

The first and most common reason is the hunting instinct. For a small predator, feet in shoes or slippers may look like potential prey.

Trying to hold the owner with paws and attacking his legs also indicate a lack of attention. This is how your pet tries to hint to you that he is hungry or wants to play.

But the aggressive nature of throwing on legs is observed when the cat is experiencing stress for some reason. Then the animals express their fear or discontent by attacking.

Similar behavior is typical for uncastrated and unsterilized animals during estrus.
