Why the dog does not bark
If your pet used to bark often and with pleasure, and then suddenly stopped, the reasons may lie in the stress that the animal is experiencing.
However, in reality, dogs may not bark for other reasons.
For example, if we are talking about the Basenji breed, it cannot bark at all, since its throat is not designed to produce such sounds.
In addition, the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed prefers tactile contact to any barking, and the Japanese Spitz barks only when there is danger.
Of the large breeds, the Bullmastiff also barks only when it feels threatened, while the Newfoundland generally prefers other methods of communication to any loud sounds and, moreover, reacts negatively to shouts and orders.
