Moscow residents named a panda from the Moscow Zoo Katyusha

City residents have chosen a name for the little panda that will accompany the animal throughout its life.
As Moscow Mayor Sergei Semenovich Sobyanin points out in his blog, Moscow residents have chosen the name Katyusha for the recently born panda.
It is noted that the choice of name took place as part of the voting on "Active Citizen". More than 380 thousand people took part in it.
According to Sergey Semenovich, the names Masha, Mo Mo and Katyusha were among the leaders. The last of them received the most votes.
Sobyanin noted that Katyusha is 4 months old. She currently moves around the zoo independently and has a large number of teeth. In addition, she weighs more than 8 kg.
The panda lives with her mother in an enclosure with a damper partition. For examination, the baby is taken away while her mother is eating bamboo shoots.
