Cats are very sensitive creatures and need a lot of attention and close monitoring to make sure they are ok.

Yes, a cat cannot tell a person directly what kind of mood it is in and what it would like right now.

Unfortunately, the cat also cannot complain about its pain.

However, it is enough to simply observe your pet’s behavior to understand that something is wrong with him.

Understanding that a cat is experiencing discomfort may not be easy, because, as a rule, at such moments the animal becomes quiet and hides its condition.

So, what does a cat do that indicates it is in pain?

1. If a cat suddenly starts purring frequently, don't be touched by it. It may be trying to show a person that its health has worsened.

2. And also the cat can often meow. If the animal is fed and stroked, then the matter is precisely in discomfort.

3. A cat may sit hunched over if something is bothering it.

4. A cat that is in pain, as a rule, begins to attack a person more often. It is especially worth paying attention to this point if the animal usually behaves calmly, never bites the owner or tries to scratch him.

5. The cat may lie in a strange position - this means that the usual position causes unpleasant sensations for it.

6. If a usually active cat suddenly becomes lethargic, stops playing and interacting with people, it is important to immediately pay attention to its condition.

7. The cat may lick itself for a long time. If it pays more attention to a certain place, it means that it is either suffering from stress or severe pain.

8. If a person suddenly cannot find his cat, he should also be worried, because animals often hide in a secluded corner when they feel pain.

9. Even if the cat is trained to use the litter box, it will go past the designated place, and this will happen not because of its harmful nature, but because of the discomfort that the animal experiences.

If a person notices some of these signs in the behavior of their pet, they should immediately sound the alarm and contact a veterinarian who will help the cat and relieve it of pain.
