At first glance, it may seem that there is nothing special about caring for a dog in the summer.
However, in reality, the animal may need special attention, otherwise some risks may arise.
In a conversation with Izvestia, the President of the Russian Cynological Federation, Vladimir Golubev, emphasized what exactly needs to be taken into account in this matter.
According to the expert, it is not recommended to run and thoughtlessly cut your pet's hair.
Golubev explained: “Dog owners mistakenly believe that by removing their dog’s excess fur, they are helping him, but this is not true.”
In fact, wool is directly involved in the thermoregulation of the animal's body.
In particular, the dense undercoat protects the dog's body from direct sunlight, from burns that can be caused by them, and also from overheating.
As the dog handler noted, it is important to simply brush your four-legged friend on time using a special brush or glove.
